A delightful, juicy red that goes down well too easily. The Bulli winery is based in the small village of Bacedasco very close to Piacenza, which is in the wine region of Emilia-Romagna. Its a stone throw away from firm natural wine prestige such as La Stoppa, Denavolo and others. Back to this bottle, sour cherry, fruitiness and a lovely trace of acidity throughout the pallet. Can have it on its own or with some charcuterie and cheese. Some would serve slightly chilled, we like it just under room temperature (7 minutes in the fridge). The grapes for this wine come from four of the estate's parcels; Torrano, San Giorgio e Ponte dell’Olio, Sbarrata and Colle San Giuseppe, all on Limestone and mildly alkaline soils at 400 above sea level. The work in the vineyard is organic and the wine is carefully made in very low intervention. Leo, the man behind Bulli is a class act producing lively, classy wines. Read less
