The Festejar Blanc 2008 can safely be called a unicorn wine, meaning that it is very rare and made in a tiny production. This bottle is even more special, there are only 450 of these in existence and we managed to get hold of some, just for you. This is a 100% Chardonnay from 2008 that has remained untouched in the barrel until now when Patrick Bouju decided that it was ready to be bottled. Expect explosive aromas of tropical fruits supported by a touch of sweetness. Think about the sizzling sound of pineapples sautéing but somehow harnessed as a flavour. This really is a wine for a special occasion, a perfect pre-prandial. We recommend serving chilled but not very cold and opening 20-30 minutes before drinking.   Read less
