Natural wine has been made for a very long time, in-fact, in its 4,000 - 5,000 year history (or more!) wine was made naturally. Additives, viticulture chemicals and manipulation techniques only came in fairly recently over the past 200-300 years creating the conventional wine industry we all know (supermarket wine, "fine" wine). Natural winemaking was pushed to the side and was completely unknown to the vast majority of wine lovers. Whilst natural wine is still not in the mainstream (quite far actually), it made leaps and bounds into the international wine scene in the past 10-20 years. Whilst the pioneers of natural winemaking were responsible for keeping the flame alight, it was undoubtedly the work of 3 men who helped propel natural wine upwards like never before. Winemaker Patrick Bouju, rapper Action Bronson and Paris Wine distributor Ochin Clovis filmed the now iconic "munchies" production "From Paris With Love" (link at the bottom). It was an instant mega-hit that captured many young people's imagination and more importantly, showed that wine can be cool, delicious and smart. The above trio soon decided to collaborate on a natural wine they called A La Natural, for an inaugural 2016 vintage. A wine that had become a myth, a legend that is hard to get. We brought it into the UK in 2019 and thought that all of the remaining production was sold out, ages ago. Things happened so fast back then that we didnt even get to keep one bottle for ourselves, to stash away for very long in respect for all of the above. Until a few weeks ago we received a short email from Paris telling us that a tiny amount is still available and that we can have it if we wanted to..
